Abdulaziz’s interest in food security began during his time at McKinsey &Co. working extensively with GCC governments addressing a variety of national risk challenges. A serial investor in disruptive technologies, he is dedicated to addressing the food security challenge. Previously a banker with HSBC, Abdulaziz’s coverage included Middle Eastern sovereigns, financial institutions, corporates and both the entire international Islamic Finance and African bond space. Abdulaziz led landmark transactions, such as the inaugural Republic of Turkey Sukuk. He holds a BA and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania and the Wharton School of Business.
Najeeb A. AlMulla

Najeeb is the Chairman of the AlMulla Group, a diversified privately held business group in Kuwait operating for more than 75 years. The Group is active in 8 countries, with over 15,000 employees and over 40 companies and affiliations with over 200 brands and companies.
Ahmed M. Fikri

Ahmed Fikri is a business operations strategy consultant with experience in a wide range of industries (education, government, airlines, districtict cooling, semiconductors, software development and telecoms) and national and international companies (including Microsoft, McKinsey &Co., Etihad Airways and Mubadala). Ahmed’s interest in food and water security began while working with the Abu Dhabi government to co-author a national study. He is a serial entrepreneur and holds a BSc in Computer Engineering from the University of Wisconsin Madison and an MBA for the Wharton School of Business.
Head of Operations
Fares has extensive professional network in Dubai having years of experience in the automobile and real estate sectors. He enjoys his new avatar as a farmer. As the Head of Operations, Fares is the engine behind our momentum and ensures all our parts are moving smoothly. Everyone sleeps peacefully knowing that Fares is handling it. He can get anything done. He holds a BA in Management (with a background in Finance) from American University of Sharjah.
Digant Raj Kapoor
Head of Marketing & Communications
Digant has wide-ranging experience in communications, marketing, and operational challenges during his time at The Carter Center, a political party in India, and with Kuwait’s largest furnishing fabric company. As the Head of Marketing & Communications, Digant is figuring out how best to convey our story and our values to stakeholders ranging from governments to farmers, from schools to supermarkets, and from restaurants to the end-consumer. What excites Digant about Madar Farms in one word? Potential. Air conditioning has been invaluable for improving livability and enabling the Arab region to thrive. He believes sustainable hydroponic farming will similarly be integral to the region’s future success and growth. He holds a BA in Economics from Emory University and an M.Phil in International Relations from Cambridge University.
